Saturday Reads: Project North Star, the Wakefield steam train, and Remembrance Days to remember

An Ottawa group called Project North Star is restoring the last known North Star aircraft in the world. The North Star was a Canadian-made aircraft that flew soldiers from B.C. to Asia during the Korean War.
The Wakefield Steam Train may be purchased by a local group calling themselves the Compagnie de Chemin de Fer de l'Outaouais. The group has 30 days to come up with $500,000 after Friends of the Steam Train, a group outside of the region, made an equivalent bid.
A few happy memories were being made during Remembrance Day this year, which happened on the notable date of 11/11/11.
Sgt, Jamie Raycroft and Yvonne Goebel were married yesterday at 11:11 a.m. yesterday. Their wedding took place in a Carleton Place bridal boutique that used to hold military weddings.
Meanwhile, the family of injured solder Jess Larochelle gathered from four provinces to honour the troops in Ottawa.
